The Sierra Norte Nature Park is located in the northern part of the province of Seville in the occidental fringe of Sierra Morena, offering a landscape of middle mountains interrupted by watercourses. It has a surface of about 177,484 ha., that includes ten town councils, bordering on the west-side with Sierra de Aracena y Picos de Aroche Nature Park and with Hornachuelos Nature Park on the eastside.
Its ornithological value comes from the presence of about 125 species of
birds, 21 of which are considered of communitarian importance due to being
threatened of extinction, being vulnerable to modification of its
habitats, being rare, unusual or belonging to a very specific habitat.
Therefore, in Sierra Morena you will find near a fourth part of the main
species in Europe.
